Poula comes from a poor family. She used to come, along with other children, in our (Free tuition) Children Development Program. While other children would enjoy fellowship and learning with us, she would also do but from behind only. When we called her name, she would cover her mouth and speak to us, which would not be very clear. She felt ashamed of her face. Whenever we went to her her home, she would talk from behind the door.
The parent didn't care much about her future, her shame, the friends teasing, and their daughter's dignity. When we tried to offer help, they even tried to ignore/reject that one but agreed to cooperate with us after some villagers sided with us on the issue.
Today, She is a happy girl and smiles sweetly. We thank you Smile Train for the free surgery and to the friends who helped us in getting this girl to the hospital and other related expenses for her family.
